Grace + Merci’s Fragrance & Flavour Fusion is an immersive sensory workshop exploring the fascinating connection between scent and taste. The experience includes a light tasting lunch, insights into perfumery, and must be booked in advance for a minimum of four guests. It’s a unique, year-round offering that showcases the creative charm of Swellendam.

One of the experiences we continue to treasure is Fragrance & Flavour Fusion — an interactive, immersive workshop hosted by the talented team at Grace+Merci, just a gentle stroll from our doorstep.
A SENSORY JOURNEY OF SCENT AND TASTE
This is far more than a tasting. It’s a sensory journey that explores the fascinating relationship between scent and flavour, food and perfume. Guests discover how aromas influence taste, how flavours can stir memory, and how the two can be paired in creative, surprising ways.
INCLUSIVE TASTING LUNCH AND PERFUMERY INSIGHTS
The workshop includes a light tasting lunch — a thoughtful spread of curious and delicious combinations — where each fragrance and each bite are designed to complement, contrast, or enhance the other. Along the way, you’ll uncover the ancient craft of perfumery, dive into wonderful flavour stories, and experience the warmth and hospitality that make Swellendam so special.
