Perfect Winter Getaway
We were lucky enough to spend a night here on a driving holiday to the garden route. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning, and Schoone Oordt was perfect. 6 Star in reality
From the moment you get out of your car, Alison's team are there for you. Welcoming, helpful, diligent and knowledgeable. This is a VERY special place. Though formal in there attentiveness, all the staff are easy to talk to and engaging. All that said, there are two rather demanding permanent residents, Mr Ratchet and Fat-Cat (our name for him), the four legged cushions.

What an exceptional experience!
We just finished a three night July family break at Schoone Oordt. What an exceptional experience! In summary, just go there. From the outset the level of welcome and quality of service were at the highest level we have known. Our rooms were extremely comfortable with oversized beds and tasteful furnishings and very generous bathrooms complete with roll top baths, delightful toiletries and enormous walk in showers.

Absolutely charming country house, lovingly restored by a delightful couple
Their love for the property is obvious, and shines through in their hospitality. The staff is delightful and very helpful and the food was excellent. An excellent place to stop to break the drive from the Garden Route to Cape Town.
